Civil Engineer I · Program Management Group, MassDOT
Somerville, Massachusetts
About
I am a civil engineer in the Program Management Group within MassDOT's Highway Division, where I manage the statewide Interstate and Non-Interstate Pavement Programs and various geospatial and data analytics initiatives supporting infrastructure programs across the Commonwealth. My work sits at the intersection of transportation planning, data analytics, and environmental equity.
In my role I build automated reporting tools in Python, Power BI, and SQL, and lead the Statewide Culvert Mapping Program—coordinating georeferencing of historical plans, developing and maintaining GIS datasets, and supporting the ArcGIS Online Culvert Mapping Viewer used across the Commonwealth.
Before engineering, I spent nearly three years as a middle school Life Science and Robotics teacher, where I built a robotics program from scratch, raising over $10,000 in fundraisers and $8,000 in grants.
I hold an M.S. in Environmental Engineering, Urban Policy & Planning from Tufts University (4.0 GPA) with a Certificate in Spatial Data Analytics, and a B.A. in Biology from SUNY Geneseo (Summa Cum Laude).
I am a WTS Boston Emerging Professional and hold the ENV SP credential from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure.
